Automobiles in Germany's City Discovered Smeared with Swastikas in Blood, Police State

Officers mentioned they were contacted by a resident who discovered a car in Hanau covered with red-colored substance

Roughly 50 cars have been covered with what seems to be blood from a person in the German town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, according to police.

Cars, walls and postal boxes were vandalized, sometimes with swastikas, they stated in a release.

Officers report they were notified during the night on Wednesday, when a resident observed that a vehicle in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been covered with a reddish-hued liquid.

The fluid had been placed in the shape of a swastika, they added.

Law enforcement then found numerous other marked vehicles and residential walls in the nearby vicinity.

Swastikas are banned in Germany under legislation prohibiting the public display of Nazi symbols.

Officials report early analysis indicate the liquid was probably human bodily fluid.

"There is still no lead as to where it came from; authorities are currently not aware of any harm in connection with the occurrence," they commented.

City officials announced they were trying "to solve the mystery" and have requested to the public for tips.

A senior official stated the vandalism left him speechless and needed to be resolved rapidly.

"This act hits the very heart of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the far-right attack half a decade ago," he stated on social media, mentioning the killing of nine victims by a gunman focusing on residents of foreign heritage in 2020.
